Douglas is responsible for teaching and preaching the Word of God at Emmanuel Baptist Church, and for leading the Church to fulfill God’s mission of taking the Good News to our neighbors and the nations.
Douglas is married to Catherine. Douglas and Catherine are both the children of pastors. They met in Upstate, New York where they served God at two churches before relocating to serve another church in Metro-Atlanta, Georgia. They relocated to Stanton in 2016 to join their hearts with Emmanuel Baptist Church. They have five children: Micaela, Cameron, Kelsey, Moriah, and Madison.
Douglas loves serving God on-mission overseas. His journeys have led him to serve in nearly 20 countries around the globe, including time in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. In addition, he loves golfing, hiking, and fishing. When he is not doing any of these, he is probably watching a sport of some sort on television. His favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys and Manchester United Football Club.
Douglas holds a B.A. in Political Science from Messiah College, a M.Div. in Pastor Studies from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and has begun working on a M.A. in Theology at Truett-McConnell University.
